Asian News Source Claims China’s Deadly Quake Caused By Nuclear Explosion

This story sounds incredible, however it is being claimed by Boxun News, a Chinese-language web-site located outside the physical boundaries of China. Whether or not it’s accurate I have no way of verifying, however, Russian and American scientists have published material that suggests nuclear explosions can and have caused earthquakes; as sensitive as this matter is, it may be decades, or even never, for us to know whether or not these accusations are true and correct:

Nuclear Explosion Occurs Near Epicenter of the Sichuan Earthquake, Expert

By Wu Weilin
Epoch Times Staff

Boxun News, a Chinese-language Web site based outside China, reported that an unnamed expert has claimed that there was a nuclear explosion near the epicenter of the Sichuan earthquake, based on witness reports and the discovery of concrete rubble believed to have come from an underground military installation. The news of this nuclear explosion has raised questions about the cause of the earthquake.

Mr. He, a local resident, stated that when the earthquake occurred on May 12, people saw something erupt from the top of a mountain next to the valley, “It looked like toothpaste being squeezed out,” said He. “No, it wasn’t [magma]. It was these concrete pieces. The eruption lasted about three minutes.”

According to a China News Services (CNS) report on May 31, 2008, paramedics from People’s Liberation Army (PLA) hospitals and psychologists from Beijing onsite May 23 found concrete debris at the bottom of a valley near the epicenter. The half-mile-wide valley was covered with debris 10 – 20 inches thick, covering the valley floor for almost 1.5 miles. MORE

As usual, there are an abundance of conspiracy theories that accompany any natural disaster, and some believe that the recent Sichuan Earthquake wasn’t natural at all, and in fact, portray the United States as the villain who caused the quake! There is so much material posted on the Internet in regard the various conspiracy theories that it would take days to list even half of them, however, one in particular stands-out and may be worth watching. We know that the United States has a facility in Alaska called HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program), and some believe it can alter the weather and even cause earthquakes. As I was searching for the scientific data that stated nuclear explosions can cause earthquakes, I found this:

China Orders Strike Against US For Catastrophic Earthquake

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers (Traducción al Español abajo)

Russian Foreign Ministry reports are stating today the Prime Minister Putin’s ‘sudden’ diplomatic trip to France was made at the behest of China’s President Hu in order to ‘warn’ the European Union not to become involved with the US following what is widely expected to be a ‘retaliatory strike’ against the United States, and who the Chinese military has blamed for the catastrophic May 12th earthquake that has killed nearly 90,000 human beings.

Chinese and Russian Military scientists, these reports say, are concurring with Canadian researcher, and former Asia-Pacific Bureau Chief of Forbes Magazine, Benjamin Fulford, who in a very disturbing video released from his Japanese offices to the American public, details how the United States attacked China by the firing of a 90 Million Volt Shockwave from the Americans High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) facilities in Alaska.

So powerful was this Shockwave, Britain’s Times Online News Service is reporting that the entire atmosphere over the Chinese earthquake zone became mysteriously changed 30 minutes prior to the 8.0 Magnitude Trembler. MORE

The reason I included this post is because of yesterday’s panic on Wall Street and an $11.00 dollar surge per barrel for crude oil. At the end of the above story, this statement was made, and the coincidence(s) certainly made me look closer at the story:

Russian Military Analysts note that though China’s Military has ordered its vast submarine fleet to ‘disperse’ throughout the Pacific Ocean, the Chinese ‘attack’ against the United States would, most likely, take a form of economic warfare instead of an actual clashing of forces. (Emphasis added.)

I viewed the original story and photos of these “earthquake clouds” and found it interesting, but I also read that these unusual phenomena are nothing new and have been found in historical records:

Historical records have indicated a possible correlation between clouds and earthquakes in the ancient civillizations of Rome, India, and China.

Those ancient civilizations didn’t have HAARP so the “earthquake Clouds” while unusual, cannot be unequivocally blamed on the HAARP facility, and as I see it, for now, it’s still a “conspiracy theory” rather than fact.

Earthquake cloud

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Earthquake clouds In chapter 32 of his work Brihat Samhita, Indian scholar Varahamihira (505 – 587) discussed a number of signs warning of earthquakes: Unusual animal behavior, astrological influences, underground movements of water, and extraordinary clouds occurring a week before the earthquake.

Since 1994, Zhonghao Shou, a retired Chinese chemist living in New York, has made dozens of earthquake predictions based on cloud patterns in satellite images, and claims to have a 70% accuracy. Stress and friction in the ground can vaporize water long before the earthquake happens, according to Shou, and clouds formed through these mechanisms are distinctly shaped. He has identified five different types of earthquake cloud, including “line-shaped”, “feather-shaped”, and “lantern shaped” clouds. He claims that an earthquake will take place within 103 days of the appearence of one of these clouds, and that the average time is 30 days. On December 25, 2003, one day before the Bam earthquake, he predicted an earthquake of mag. 5.5+ within 60 days over a fault line in Iran. (Emphasis added.) MORE

It’s an interesting story and theory, but for now, none of the above information can be verified except the predictions of Zhonghao Shou, which have been fairly reliable.

I have noted that this article is receiving a lot of hits which I attribute to the allegations by The European Union Times  that the recent earthquakes in Virginia and Colorado were caused by underground nuclear detonations. Based on my continuing research of earthquakes and volcanoes and the geological mechanisms that cause these events – I wholly discount any and all conspiracy theories that China’s quake could have been caused by a nuclear explosion. If you subscribe to the explanation that China’s quake, and even Japan’s quake could have been caused by nuclear detonations I suggest that you begin your own research – and if you spend the hundreds of hours that are necessary to form a logical opinion based on facts and critical thinking, I believe that you will throw-off such theories as nothing more than a distraction from the real issues that we face in this new age of increased seismicity.
