An Answer To Jenna Bush’s request “To Leave Her Father Alone.”

One thing I do believe in is keeping the President’s children out of the controversy – and respecting his wish that his children be left alone. President Clinton felt the same way, and I concur. I also strongly believe that a President’s sexual business is his own, just as it is with Corporate CEO’s who run Fortune 500 Corporations; Investors could care less what the CEO does in his free time, but are only concerned with the bottom-line, and I believe this concept should be applied to sitting President’s as well. Run our country and keep the nation prosperous and free from danger, and I personally don’t care what they do in their spare time.

Jenna evidently was interviewed by a reporter with the Times Online, and the headline states: This is heartbreaking – leave my dad alone, says Jenna Bush These are excerpts from that article:

ONE of the twin daughters of President George W Bush has spoken of the heartbreak she feels about the Iraq war and the criticism of her father. “He is a totally different person to me than what they portray him as,” said Jenna Bush. “I mean, he’s my dad.”

The party girl who stuck her tongue out at reporters and was charged with underage drinking publishes a book this week called Ana’s Story, about an HIV-positive teenage mother whom she encountered on her travels in Central America with Unicef.

Jenna, 25, who is known as the “blonde one” of the Bush twins, has found her sober side. Asked about Unicef’s report that 4m Iraqis had fled their homes since the invasion of Iraq, she said: “Nobody wants war. I definitely, and my father doesn’t want war. But it’s a horribly complicated situation.” She added: “I can say it’s devastating . . . I think everybody can agree on that . . . Obviously, all of this breaks my heart.”

Among the experiences that affected her deeply was visiting wounded veterans of the war with her father. “I’ve gone with him to Walter Reed hospital and I’ve seen his face after he’s left the hospital. He would have to be inhuman not to feel it. I mean, of course things weigh on him. Of course they do.” MORE

I remember when the Bush twins were brought into the headlines because they were caught drinking while underage, and the press made a big deal out of it, which I found to be repulsive. I am a father of three sons, two of which are identical twins – all who are now over the age of twenty-one. Parents send their children to college, and for the first time, teenagers are away from home, and how many of us can say with a straight-face that our children didn’t do the same thing when they were young? It’s part of growing-up, and to expect that the children of a sitting President are somehow “above being normal” is absurd, petty, and is one of the more vicious aspects of politics that turns my stomach.

Personally Jenna, I believe you were sincere, and some of the comments that accompanied the article disgusted me; I must admit that I am one of “those people” that despise your father, however I am flabbergasted that people can’t comprehend that any daughter that loves her father, no matter what I or the rest of the world think of him – would be “heart-broken” to witness that he is one of the most hated President’s in American history, and throughout the world, he is loathed and feared, viewed as a war criminal and imperialist – and millions of people around the world are fearful that George W, Bush, your father, is intent on starting World War III, not as a matter of national security, but for power and monetary gain.

If you were truly sincere Jenna, please take this article and sit-down with your Dad and ask him to explain some of the issues I’ll raise to you, and please, ask him to hold a news conference and explain it to the American people as well. Most of us feel betrayed by your father, and the nation deserves an explanation of his behavior. Your father was elected to represent the people, and that was not an open-ticket to implement policies that the majority of the American population disagrees with, including the conservative Republicans that helped to place him in office. I’m guessing that you have been taught by your parents that most of the news is biased, and only Fox News is worth watching… If that’s the case, please take the plunge and read some real news, not just what your Dad wants you to see. Have you read any of the alternative news sites on the Internet, or do you believe what Fox New reports upon is really the truth? I’m positive your father doesn’t tell you everything, but have you taken it on yourself to see if any of the allegations against him and Cheney are true?

Your father told us that lowering the taxes on the wealthy and corporations would invigorate the economy. One of the reasons he gave to us was that corporations, with less tax burden, would be able to spend more money on modernization, pay higher wages, etc. – and it was necessary to keep the economy healthy. Those corporations did raise their bottom line, and yes, they did invest heavily in new factories and jobs – all to be built and outsourced to foreign nations simply because they will work for less than the American work force that built this country from the ground up!

Your father did nothing to stop corporate America from outsourcing our industry and factories to foreign lands and the devastation it has rendered on the economy may take decades to recover from – if it’s even possible. Millions of American workers have lost their jobs, health coverage, and benefits because of your father’s policies and millions are falling into poverty each year while the Middle-class of America is being raped and robbed of everything they worked for all their lives. Now they have to work two, sometimes three low paying jobs just to make ends meet, and millions of those are unable to keep from falling into poverty. The rich are becoming richer and the poor and Middle-class are taking it on the chin, and their lives are being ripped asunder by the fact that your father does not represent the people, but only passes legislation that benefit the elite of America while the rest of us suffer. Ask your father why he did this to us.

Jenna, there’ a whole list of things we would like to ask your Dad, but last night, while reading an article on Op-Ed News, I came across some of the most chilling news I have ever read in my life – and I would like you to ask your father about this issue in particular. On September the 6th, CNN ran this story:

Air Force investigates mistaken transport of nuclear warheads

* All stateside Air Force fighter, bomber flights to be halted September 14
* Plane was moving missiles whose warheads were supposed to be removed
* Nuclear warheads were accidentally left on the missiles, military officials say
* Public was never in danger; nukes could not have detonated, spokesman says

From Barbara Starr

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Six nuclear warheads on cruise missiles were mistakenly carried on a flight from North Dakota to Louisiana last week, prompting a major investigation, military officials have confirmed.

The plane took the cruise missiles from Minot Air Force Base to Barksdale Air Force Base for decommissioning Thursday, the Air Force said.

“This is a major gaffe, and it’s going to cause some heads to roll down the line,” said Don Shepperd, a retired Air Force major general and military analyst for CNN. MORE

We found out that the first explanations from the Air Force and White House were lies, it was blatant propaganda, and your father’s administration was lying through their teeth! Done believe me? Read this:

B-52 Nukes Headed for Iran, Not For Decommissioning: Airforce Refused

Air Force refused to fly weapons to Middle East theater
By Wayne Madsen
Sept. 24, 2007
Author’s website

WMR has learned from U.S. and foreign intelligence sources that the B-52 transporting six stealth AGM-129 Advanced Cruise Missiles, each armed with a W-80-1 nuclear warhead, on August 30, were destined for the Middle East via Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana.

However, elements of the Air Force, supported by U.S. intelligence agency personnel, successfully revealed the ultimate destination of the nuclear weapons and the mission was aborted due to internal opposition within the Air Force and U.S. Intelligence Community.

Yesterday, the Washington Post attempted to explain away the fact that America’s nuclear command and control system broke down in an unprecedented manner by reporting that it was the result of “security failures at multiple levels.” It is now apparent that the command and control breakdown, reported as a BENT SPEAR incident to the Secretary of Defense and White House, was not the result of a command and control chain-of-command “failures” but the result of a revolt and push back by various echelons within the Air Force and intelligence agencies against a planned U.S. attack on Iran using nuclear and conventional weapons. MUCH MORE

It made me feel proud when I saw that some in the military had the courage to reject orders that are contrary to their sworn duty to protect and serve our country and constitution, and for a fleeting moment I thought there was a chance the military itself would be the ones to stand-up to your father, but alas, I found the below article last night and it made me sick to my stomach:

US, NATO and Israel Deploy Nukes directed against Iran

By Michel Chossudovsky

In late August, reported by the Military Times, a US Air Force B-52 bomber flew from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota to Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana with six AGM advanced cruise missiles, each of which was armed with a W-80-1 nuclear warhead. “… Missiles were mounted on the pylons under its wings. Each of the warheads carried a yield of up to 150 kilotons, more than ten times as powerful as the US bomb that leveled Hiroshima at the close of the Second World War.” (See Bill Van Auken, Global Research September 2007)

The Military Times byline was “B-52 mistakenly flies with nukes aboard”. The issue was casually acknowledged by The Washington Post and the New York Times. The reports quoted a US Air force spokesman. The matter was offhandedly brushed aside. The incident represented “an isolated mistake” and that “at no time was there a threat to public safety.” (Ibid) :

“As far as is known, the incident marked the first time that a US plane has taken off armed with nuclear weapons in nearly 40 years. …

… The transport of weapons from one base to another, however, is normally carried out in the holds of C-17 and C-130 cargo planes, not fixed to the wings of combat bombers.

Someone had to give the order to mount the missiles on the plane. The question is whether it was a local Air Force commander—either by mistake or deliberately—or whether the order came from higher up.

B-52s from Barksdale have been used repeatedly to strike targets in Iraq, firing cruise missiles at Iraqi targets in 1996 and 1998, and in the “shock and awe” campaign that preceded the 2003 invasion, carrying out some 150 bombing runs that devastated much of the southern half of the country.

Moreover, the weapon that was fixed to the wings of the B-52 flying from Minot air base was designed for use against hardened targets, such as underground bunkers.

Given the ratcheting up of the threats against Iran and the previous reports of plans for the use of “tactical” nuclear weapons against Iranian nuclear installations, there is a very real possibility that the flight to Barksdale was part of covert preparations for a nuclear strike against Iran.

If this is indeed the case, the claims about a “mistake” by a munitions officer and a few airmen in North Dakota may well be merely a cover story aimed at concealing the fact that the government in Washington is preparing a criminal act of world historic proportions by ordering—without provocation—the first use of nuclear weapons since the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki more than sixty years ago. (Bill van Auken, op. cit).

In recent developments, Wayne Madsen (September 27) has suggested, based on US and foreign intelligence sources, that the B-52 carrying the advanced cruise missiles with bunker buster nuclear warheads was in fact destined for the Middle East.

Is the B-52 Barksdale incident in any way related to US plans to use nuclear weapons against Iran?

Madsen suggests, in this regard, that the operation of shipping the nuclear warheads was aborted “due to internal opposition within the Air Force and U.S. Intelligence Community”, which was opposed to a planned US attack on Iran using nuclear warheads.

Without downplaying the significance of the Barksdale incident, if Washington were to decide to use nuclear weapons against Iran, they could be launched at short notice from a number of military bases in Western Europe and the Middle East, from Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, from a submarine or from a US Aircraft carrier. Turkey has some 90 B61 nuclear weapons which are fully deployed. (See details below). It should be noted that, with regard to the Barksdale incident, the 150 kt. W-80-1 nuclear warheads mounted on the B-52s are not the type of nuclear weapon contemplated by the US military for use in the Middle East conventional war theater.

To grasp the seriousness of the “Barksdale incident”, it is important to understand the broader context of nuclear weapons deployment respectively by the US, NATO and Israel.

We are not dealing with a single aborted operation of deployment of nuclear weapons to the Middle East.

There are indications that a large number of US made nuclear weapons are currently deployed in Western Europe and the Middle East including Israel. MORE

This is a long article, and I won’t post it in its entirety, however, anyone reading this post should read every word of one of the most important stories of the 20th century. There is one more part I must post, as we now find out that we no longer have a free press, but that they are under a “media blackout.”:

A Note of Caution

The existence of war plans, which are currently in an advanced state of readiness, does not imply that war will occur.

But at the same time, these war plans and their consequences must be forcefully addressed. An all out war, which would engulf the entire Middle East Central Asian region, cannot be excluded.

Moreover, a political consensus in favor of a war directed against Iran is building up in the US. This war agenda is now supported by several of America’s European allies including Britain, France and Germany.

Public opinion is not informed due to a media blackout. The war on Iran using nuclear weapons is not front page news.

The legitimacy of the war criminals in high office remains intact. There is visibly no mass movement against this war as occurred in the months leading up to the Iraq invasion. Moreover, concurrent with the development of the war agenda, the Western countries are developing their “Homeland Security” apparatus with a view to to curbing public protest against the war.

In the months ahead, we can expect the media propaganda war against Iran to go into high gear with a view to galvanizing public opinion in support of a military intervention.

It is absolutely essential that people in America and around the World take a firm position against a war, which in a very real sense threatens the future of humanity.

Jenna, the above article exposes the fact that tactical nuclear weapons have been deployed throughout the Middle-East, and the United States has armed, or has plans to arm some nations that have no nuclear capability themselves with nuclear weapons to be delivered by their own air forces, and literally taken, it means that the United States would be by far the worst “nuclear proliferators” in the world. How can we fight for the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons if we are doing it ourselves? It’s extremely important to note that I’m speaking of a particular nuclear weapon, not the run of the mill nuclear warhead, but ones that are designed to be used against hardened underground targets. My reading of the article estimated these weapons were approximately three times more powerful than those we dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki some 60 years ago.

Confirmed by (partially) declassified documents (released under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act):

“… The approximately 480 nuclear bombs [now 350] in Europe are intended for use in accordance with NATO nuclear strike plans, the report asserts, against targets in Russia or countries in the Middle East such as Iran and Syria.

The report shows for the first time how many U.S. nuclear bombs are earmarked for delivery by non-nuclear NATO countries. In times of war, under certain circumstances, up to 180 of the 480 nuclear bombs would be handed over to Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey for delivery by their national air forces. No other nuclear power or military alliance has nuclear weapons earmarked for delivery by non-nuclear countries.”

(quoted in emphasis added) LINK

Jenna, don’t you think it’s time for you to sit down with your Dad and ask some of these questions, and please, don’t fall for him telling you that Iran is a serious nuclear threat when we estimate they are approximately five years away from being capable of manufacturing a nuclear weapon. Look closely at the situation in Pakistan and note that the Taliban and Al Qaeda have regrouped and now Pakistan is a hotbed of Radical Islam. If we bomb Iran, Pakistan will be lost to the radicals, and what then when we face a nation that already has sophisticated nuclear armaments and is controlled by Radical Islam? Your father vowed to the American public that he would never allow the terrorists to have a safe haven again, and no matter where they were hiding, we would attack and kill the enemy. Instead, because of the greed of Iraq’s war for oil and profit, your Dad reneged on his word, and because of some song and dance from President Pervez Musharraf – he allowed the Taliban and Al Qaeda safe haven in the northern tribal regions of Pakistan, and now the country is infested with Radical Islam. Pakistan has been a long-time ally of the United States and by the incompetence of the Bush administration, there is a chance the country could wind-up in a civil war, and I believe the radicals would win.

Please Jenna, take these few questions into your father and demand an explanation from him. Do you believe in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Rule of Law? If you do, don’t forget to ask your Dad why he constantly spurns our law and refuses to listen to reason. He was elected to represent the people, not be their “Decider” – which equates to Dictator. I never would have addressed the President’s daughter, however, when you participate in an interview and ask us to “Leave your Dad alone”, then it’s only fair to say OK, but please present your father with these issues, and ask him to address the nation and explain to us why he holds the Average American and the Rule of Law in such contempt.

William Cormier

Note: I have also included this article in the Disaster Preparedness Series. Based on the information in this article, it does appear that one disaster we should be planning for NOW is the possibility of an all-out nuclear war, as we have no idea of how China and Russia will react if we use nuclear arms against Iran. At any rate, it does appear that war is near, and if so, I’ve already covered the many reasons people need to begin preparing – and now, while you still have the chance.
